He is survived by: his children, Betty Chavez (Johnny Maes), Alfred Chavez and Billy Chavez; his stepchildren, Ida Garcia, Theresa Mendoza (Wilfred), Ricky Chavez and Mary Jane Chavez (David); and his siblings, Manuel Chavez, Margaret Cull, Dolores Chavez, Ted Chavez, Lucille Lucero and Vera Gonzales. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
