He was predeceased by: his wife Ermelina; and his siblings, Florela Silva, Fred Ortega, Cecelia Lopez, Andy Ortega and Celestino Ortega.
He is survived by: his children, Alex Ortega (Andree), Vergie Vigil, Ray Ortega (Liz), Marlyne Monroy and Steve Ortega (Pam); his grandchildren, Adam Ortega (Melinda), Mallory Jenkins (Brian), Eric Ortega, Shelby, Vanessa Vigil (Andre), Bubba Vigil (Kristha), Angelique Ortega and Andrew Ortega; his great grandchildren, Ashton, Austin, Grayson, Sofia, Hillevi, Izelin and Adonis; and his siblings, Jimmy Ortega, Bernice Perez, Tony Ortega and Connie Cote.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
