He was predeceased by: his wife Rebecca Chavez; his daughters, Lucinda and Andrea; and his grandchildren, James and Jolene.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Chavez Jr. and Tina Padilla. He is also survived by four grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
