He is survived by: his parents, Ada Luz Garay and Efren Mares; his stepchildren, Ximena Mares, Aleah Lusk and Alaila Lusk; and his siblings, Rudy Martinez, Abigail Mares and Rosalia Mares. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
