He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaston George and Editha George; and his brother Paul George. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean George; his son James Brisco (JaMeece) of Tulsa, OK; his sister Mabel LeBlanc of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his siblings-in-law, Cris George of Silverdale, Mayetta Wells (Ron) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Mard Lee of Alamogordo, NM, Teresa Ann Huckleby of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Troy Huckleby of Las Cruces, NM and Amos Huckleby of Alamogordo, NM; and his close friend Candace Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
