With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valerie Smurda (Alamogordo, New Mexico), who passed away on October 31, 2020 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Valerie Smurda to pay them a last tribute.
She is survived by: her husband James (Spain); her children, Dawn Rowland of Elk Grove, CA and Shawn of Sherman, TX; her grandchildren, Dalton, Dillon Rowland, Victoria and Dominic Smurda; and her siblings, Margaret and Peter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Shriner's Hospital, St. Jude Hospital or the Glioblastoma research foundation.
