It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Silvestre Amaya (Alamogordo, New Mexico), who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrique Amaya and Maria Morales Amaya. He is survived by: his wife Maria "Pola" Amaya; his daughters, Josefina "Josie" Amaya, Ana Hogue (John) and Maricruz "Mari" Morse (Richard); his grandchildren, Jackie LaBonte Carter (Gerren), Jennifer LaBonte Labayen (Laurence), Mario Sena (Sky), Tanya Sena (Karis), Justin Morse and Jacob Morse; his great grandchildren, Jayla, Deion, Matthew Carter, Abigail, Madison Labayen, Brooklyn, Zeb, Emmie Sena, Wrenley and Keston Sena; and his brother Enrique Amaya. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
