She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Bishop Sr. and Elsie Lydia Bishop (Anderson); her husband Gordon Lee Nelson; her son Brian Nelson; and her siblings, Edward Bishop Jr., Elizabeth Wiley and Cynthia LaClair.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Nelson (Michelle) of Alamogordo, NM and Debora Kelly (Yancey) of Stanton, KY; her granddaughter Kimberley Green; her great grandchild Evelyn Gallagher of Worthington Springs, FL; her grandson Tyler Green (Ellen) of Chapel Hill, NC; her sister Brenda Reed of Charlestown, NH; and her sister-in-law Sandra Bishop of Redman, WA..
She was past area Chairman of the Arthritis Foundation, on the Kids Kingdom Committee and Spirit of the Women Honoree for 2004.
