With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Melendez (Alamogordo, New Mexico), born in Boyds, Washington, who passed away on February 28, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Turnbull and Lola Turnbull; her brother Lue Turnbull; and her grandson Benjamin Thompson. She is survived by: her sister Peggy Sutton; her children, Julie Glazier, Bill Thompson and Ben Thompson (Betty); her grandchildren, Michael, Gina Vigil, John Avery Jr., Marie Glazier, Caitey and Brianna Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Rebecca Foreman, Jillian Sanders, Pipricka, Gabrel Vigil, Dezman Vigil, Xavier Hill, Angelique, Jade Avery, Joseph and Keelin. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
