He is survived by: his children, Desiree and Nicolas Ellinger of Alamogordo; his adoptive parents, Jody Ellinger and Darla Ellinger of Tularosa; his birth parents, Shafic Ahmed Sr. of Freetown and Yolonda Ortiz Richmond of Texas; and his siblings, Jamil Ellinger of Tularosa, Elliott Ellinger of Tularosa, Matt Ellinger of Tularosa, Mariam Ellinger-Baker (Curt) of St. Louis, Shelly Douglas (Chris) of Payallup, Angela Ellinger (Brandee) of Sherman, Shaylnn Ellinger of Tularosa, Favia Weaver (Rocky) of Camp Hill and Ashley Ellinger of Tularosa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
