He was predeceased by: his father Edward Benjamin; his stepfather Ralph Benjamin; his mother Helen DeMoss Dean Benijamin (DeMoss); his brother Charles Dean (Rosie); and his grandchild Gray Dixon (Ashley).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hammack Dean of Alamogordo; his stepchildren, Leonard Schorn of Alamogordo, Becky (Michael) of Tularosa and Kenneth Schorn (Krystalina) of Peoria; his son Zack Wells of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Dillon Dixon of Tularosa, Kaleb and Kylis Schorn of Peoria. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
