He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Peter James and Nona Ella Woodfin. He is survived by: his wife Quava James; his children, Rex Jr. (Karen), Thomas (Lori) and Susan Neumann (Scott); and his grandchildren, April Maxey (Tim), Rex III (Charity), Jordan, Erin Cummings (Aaron) and Ross.
