She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Torrez and Edna Torrez (Phillips); her sister Bertha Torrez; and her grandson Lorenzo Chavez. She is survived by: her former husband Arthur Chavez; her sons, David Chavez and Ray Chavez (Venessa) of Nambe, NM; her grandchildren, Celina Vigil (Aram Garcia), Isaiah Vigil, Diego Chavez, Emilio Chavez, Marcelo Chavez and Marcos Chavez; her great grandchildren, Arabel and Amani Garcia; and her siblings, Celia Contreras (Jimmy), Geri, Frank, Benny Torrez (Maria), Orlando Torrez and John Torrez (MaryAnn). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
