He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jose, Santana Candelario, Mark and Marie Ortiz; and his brother-in-law William Darrell Davis.
He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Lucas and Violet Ann Ortiz; his wife Lynell Ortiz; his sons, Nevin Ortiz Jr., Jermain and Kayden Ortega; his siblings, Jolene Davis, Darlene Ortiz, Angelina Rodriguez, Merlin, Alvin and Kevin Ortiz; his godson Tabian Flores of Alamogordo; his father-in-law Neills Kaydahzinne of Tularosa; his siblings-in-law, Kathryn Kaydahzinne, Jerome and Joel Antonio of Mescalero; and his pet Tiy'aani. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, one great-niece, many cousins, friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mountain View Church (1300 Cuba Ave, Alamogordo, NM 88310). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
