It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Myrtis Loretta Allen in Alamogordo, New Mexico, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Myrtis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Myrtis farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy McIlvain Atkinson and Terrell Beatrice Atkinson; her husband Marvin Allen (Buddy); her daughter Monica Gray; and her brother Rodney Lee Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Findley of Choctaw, OK and Mark Allen of Alamogordo, NM; and her siblings, Laurie Reeves of Conroe, TX and Tommy Atkinson of Spring, TX. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Scenic Chapel (1334 N Scenic Dr, Alamogordo, NM 88310). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
