We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2019, at the age of 82, Mario Cantu Fernandez (Alamogordo, New Mexico), born in Mercedes, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Fernandez and Rita Fernandez (Mancillas); his sister Dora Cadena; his grandson Eric Fernandez; and his brother Roberto Fernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Christina Fernandez; his sisters, Anna Adame (Fernandez) and Elida Cantu; his children, Mario Jr. (Vicky) of Laredo, TX, Mark (Yvonn) of Oceanside, CA, David (Debra) of San Antonio, TX and Belinda of Laredo, TX; his stepdaughters, Angie (Manny) of Las Cruces, NM, Tammy (Mario) of El Paso, TX and Monica (Sammy) of Tularosa, NM.; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Juliana Lozeno, Gaby, Leah, Lily, Danny, Sarai Fernandez, Nate, Meelah, Gabriel, Navaeh, Kattaleya and Luis; and also, Cynthia Lozano, Mario III, Roberto Jaime, Eric, Cecelia, Renee Fernandez, Ricky, Nick, Ashley Balderrama, Arty, Adria Salazar, Christina Henderson, Dezarae, Valerie, Marcus Mendez, Cassandra and Michael John Vickery. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
