She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sherman Shipley and Jesse Chapman Shipley; and her siblings, Lela Aldrich, Marie Neighbors and Phillip Shipley.
She is survived by: her husband George Van Gilder; and her children, Georgia Wright (James) of Las Vegas, NV, Leah Reome (Mark) of Las Cruces, NM and Kurt Van Gilder (Kimberly) of Gallup, NM.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
