He was predeceased by: his parents, Artis Tave and Palthera Thomas; his wife Maria Avalos-Tave; his children, Gloria Tave, Rozetta Tave-Turner and Rene Tave; and his brothers, Billie-Joe Tave and Aubrey Tave.
He is survived by: his children, Palthera Shired of Tularosa, NM, Lorena Tave of Alamogordo, NM, Julio "Flaco" Tave Jr. (Gabriela) of El Paso, TX, Edward "Eddie" Tave (Guadalupe "Lupita") of Juarez, William "Willie" Tave of Alamogordo, NM and Guadalupe Tave (Margie) of Alamogordo, NM; and his brother Samuel Tave (Florin) of Los Angeles, California. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 33+ great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
