He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Bouma and Betty Jo Bouma. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his daughters, Sarah Bouma and Katie Mena (Jonathan); and his siblings, LeAnn, John (Marie) and Harry. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Joe if friends should desire, the family asks that donations be made to Alamogordo Home Health Care and Hospice.
