He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Lee Burton and Gene Ethridge Burton; and his grandparents, Lee E. Green and Vera Green. He is survived by: his brother Joe Burton of Alamogordo; his sister-in-law Jeana Burton; his nephew Jared Burton; his nieces, Jeane'e Dahl and Julienne Bunt; and his uncles, Terry Green and Jerry Green.

Should family or friends desire, contributions may be made in Jon's name to First Baptist Church, Ruidoso, New Mexico.
