He was predeceased by: his siblings, Fred (Connie), Serapio (Lucinda), Delores (Emilia), Clovis (Erminia), Albert (Lucera), Eloy, Lucia Gonzales (Fernando) and Olympia Garcia (Fernando); and his siblings-in-law, Ignacio Torrez, Albert Richardson, Tony Hernandez (Nedra), Charlie Hernandez (Paulene), Albert Hernandez, Steve Hernandez, Raymond Aragon, Annie Gutierrez (Robert), Patsy Gujaca (Elias) and Pilar Hernandez.
He is survived by: his parents, Jesus Montes and Tomasita Montes; his wife Lucia Hernandez Montes; his daughter Jessica Montes Sanchez (Jerry); his grandson Jesus Sanchez; his sisters, Amanda Torres and Emma Richardson; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Hernandez, Bill Hernandez (Betty), Joe Hernandez (Viola), Helen Aragon, Isabel Hernandez and Pricilla Hernandez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
