He was predeceased by: his parents, George Pate and Doris Pate (Fox); his wife Louise Pate (McCracken); and his siblings, Gid Pate and Norma Warren.
He is survived by: his brother George Pate of Tampa, Florida; and his sons, Dan Pate (Deanna) and Mike Pate (Dana) of Alamogordo. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
