She was predeceased by: her parents, John Napoleon and Mattie Riley Rucker; her husband James Wilmer Mattison (J. W.); and her son Herbert Wendell Mattison. She is survived by: her children, John, Francenia (Earl) of Washington, D. C. and Harold Mattison of Alamogordo; and her grandchildren, Cindy, Isabelle, Reginald (Melissa), Brian Mattison, Melissa, Allison Thompson, Cassandra Johnson and Latrina Prince. She is also survived by 10 great-grand children; two great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; one aunt; one sister-in-law, and a host of relatives and friends.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of Gladys' life will be held at a later date.
