Frank Doyle Obituary
Frank Mason Doyle, 81, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his residence in Alamogordo, New Mexico surrounded by his family. He was born on December 2, 1932 in Deming, New Mexico to Harry Francis and Mabel Doyle. He was an Engineer with McDonald Douglas/Martin Marietta at both Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico and Vandenburg Air Force Base in California and was involved in the original rocket program.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling in the RV and any family activities. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion. He also served as Camp Host of Sugarite Canyon State Park for 14 years and received the Camp Host of the Year award. He was a strong protectorate of family and was always joking and extremely social.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Loreace Doyle, who he married in 1970, of the family home; his children from a previous marriage, Dianne Keefe-Bonnell, Roger Doyle, David Doyle, Brenda Guzman and Linda Hager; his stepdaughter Ellen Vreeland; 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and stepson Billy Dow Montgomery.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Grace United Methodist Church, 1206 Greenwood Lane. A reception will follow the service at the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations made in Frank's name to the Alamogordo Elks Lodge or Alamogordo Home Care and Hospice would be appreciated.
The Doyle family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the service. Cremation will take place at PCS.
