It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Richard Gomez of Alamogordo, New Mexico, born in West Covina, California, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Veila Gomez (Marquez); his aunt Maria Luisa Padilla (Gomez); his niece Sesie Montenegro; his uncles, Rosalio, Rudulfo, Modesto, Santos Gomez and Manny Padilla Sr.; and his aunt Lucia Otilia Tejeda (Marquez).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Urban-Gomez of Alamogordo, NM; his father Pedro Gomez Sr. of Alamogordo; his children, Michael Gomez of Alamogordo, David Gomez Jr. of Woodland, CA, Xaiver Gomez of Manfield, MO, Crystal Gomez (Kevin Hancock) of Woodland, CA and Isabel Monique Gomez of Alamogordo; his pets, Trixie and Luna; his grandchildren, Kevin, Cheryl, David Gomez and William; his siblings, Pedro Gomez Jr. (Selina) of Las Cruces, NM, Juan Gomez (Bertha) of Plymouth, MN, Cynthia Montenegro of Phoenix, AZ and Teresa Ramirez (Edward) of Tucson, AZ; his close friend Simon Montenegro (Angie) of Phoenix, AZ; and his neighborhood buddies, Marcus Jones, Angelo Smith and Arturo Hernandez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
