She was predeceased by: her parents, John V. Bridges and Myrtle V. Bridges (Edwards); her brother L. C. Bridges; and her husbands, Jack F. Burgess, Gene T. Brock, James E. Riggs and Gerald D. Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Jonna Irick (Steve); her grandson Jonathan of Alamogordo; her son Jon F. Burgess (Traci) of Weatherford, Texas; her stepdaughter Trudy Brock Routh (Bob) of Las Cruces; her granddaughter Tasha Burgess Hanson; her great grandchildren, Sage and Jackson of Weatherford, Texas; and her grandson Justin Lee Burgess of Weatherford, Texas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bettie's name to Christ Community Church, 2960 N Scenic Drive, Alamogordo, New Mexico.
