It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rene Vela (Abiquiu, New Mexico), born in Laredo, Texas, who passed away on August 28, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Vela and Ninfa Vela; his siblings, Raul, Mary and Noe; and his grandson Konner.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Vela (Tracy), Jose Ramon Vela (LoriAnn), Ninfa Vela (Liberato), Salena Vela (Cherise) and Maria Jimenez; his former wife Cynthia Archuleta; and his siblings, Richard, Zorina and Raymond. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
