He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredric G. Mantei and Ruth Mantei (Riede). He is survived by: his wife Martha Hardy of New Milford; his sister Judi Mantei Braddick of Dallas, Texas; and his brother-in-law Bruce Hardy (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
