She is survived by: her daughters, Emily A. Kirkegard (Lars Kirkegard) and Evelyn A. Gavert (Bill Gavert); her husband William H. Anderes; and her grandchildren, Thomas, Olivia and Eva Gavert.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Martha's memory to Friends of Felines - Hatteras Island, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral cats on Hatteras Island and humanely reducing their numbers through the TNR method.
