He is survived by: his wife Trudy Van Beekum (Borduin); his children, Mitchell (Roselyn) of Hoptacong, Jonathan (Jenn) of Midland Park, David (Melissa) of Florida, Laura Beth Runyon (Christopher) of Parsippany and Christopher (Carly) of Highland Lakes; his grandchildren, Josh, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Val, Aiden, Julia, Gianna, Myra, Eliana, Eowyn and Teddy; his great grandchild Jaxon; and his sister Linda Baker (Jack) of Wyckoff. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Wounded Warrior, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to the Paramus Veteran's Home, 1 Veterans Way, Paramus, NJ 07652.
