He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ernst and Elizabeth Ernst (Shillcutt); and his son Michael. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his daughters, Deborah Herman (George) of Ogdensburg, NJ and Michelle Johnson (Tony) of Kinnelon, NJ; his sister Geraldine Gallo of Clarksville, GA; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel Herman, Syd, Ty Johnson, Abigail, Zoe Neves and Jonathan Ernst.
