We bid farewell to Alice Abate of Wyckoff, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 10, 2025 at the age of 95. Alice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Alice shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Alice farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Carl Abate; her children, Dolores Goetschius (David) of Wyckoff and Richard Abate (Renee) of Lincoln Park; her grandchildren, David Goetschius, Jr. and Danielle Goetschius; her nephews, Joseph Wekelo (Diane) and Alfred Wekelo; and her brother Alfred Wekelo.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home (557 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (52 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ 07512).
