It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alba Murphy Mezquita of Wyckoff, New Jersey, who passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Juan Gregorio Mezquita; her siblings, Lillian Murphy Strauss (Rodolfo) of Key Biscayne, FL, Eduardo Adolfo Murphy (Mercedes Caña) of Havana and Estrella Murphy Senande (Ramon) of Lyndhurst, NJ; and her parents, Eduardo Murphy and Estrella Garcia.
She is survived by: her children, Marlene Marta Mezquita (Jorge Rodriguez) of Oradell, NJ and John Gregory Mezquita of North Bergen, NJ.; her grandchildren, Maria, Angeles, Natalie Marie, John Gregory and Isabel Cristina (Joseph Thomas) of North Bergen, NJ.; her nieces and nephews, Yanet (Scott) of Easton, PA, Grisel (Peter) of Sparta, NJ, Marilyn (Ron) of Pinecrest, FL, Maureen (Ricardo) of Lakeland, FL, Lillian (Rich) of Rahway, NJ, Mercy (Carlos), Lourdes, Eduardo and Angel (Carmen) of Miami Lakes, FL.; her brother-in-law Rodolfo; her pets, Brad and Silver; and her grandchildren, Love Lucy, Martin (Lewis), Marx Brothers and Benny Hill.
