He is survived by: his children, Bernard Underwood (Bettye) of Houston, TX, Willie Underwood III (Kadi) of Buffalo, NY, Yvette Underwood of Atlanta, GA and Majorie Underwood of Cincinnati, OH; and his sister Juanita Bowen. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
