He was predeceased by: his brother Herbert; his sister-in-law Laura Meltzer; and his niece Ann Gould. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his children, Philip Meltzer (Ann), Martin Meltzer (Lauren) and Shari Donato (Christopher); his grandchildren, Matthew Donato, Meredith, Lauren Donato and Elliott Donato; his sister-in-law Charlotte Bernstein; his nephews, Robert, Ronnie Meltzer and Justin; his niece Emily Meltzer; his great-nephew Aaron; and his nieces and nephews, Evan Meltzer, Alan Bernstein, Diane Beserosky (Steve), Aaron Cohen and Sara Cohen.
