She was predeceased by: her father Clifton Dougan Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Lee Brooks Sr.; her daughter Dawn Brooks (Gary Moore); her grandsons, Jonathan Mixner (Katie) and Nathan Mixner; and her brothers, Clifton Dougan Jr. (Joanne) and Robert Dougan (Kathy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Joan's memory to the Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church, 312 Daretown Road, Elmer, NJ 08318.
