He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen D. Sr. Ackley and Bessie Ackley (Hitchner); his spouse Lzetta Humphrey (Woolman) of Elmer; and his siblings, John, Col. Robert H Ackley, Chaplain Lt, Col. Allen D Ackley Jr., Donald B Ackley, Ruth Ackley and Lillian S Ackley.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah (Richard Fenstermaker) of Brookville, PA., Leslie Grimming of Pennsville, NJ, Herbert Ackley Jr. (Dorothy), Donna Ackley of Deptford, NJ, Mark Ackley Sr. of New Castle, DE and Merle Ackley of Haskell, TX.; his grandson Brian (Mandi); his great grandchildren, Silas, Benjamin Grimming of Pennsville, NJ, Joshua, Angelique Grimming (Neeld) of Alloway and Kelly (Francesco); his sons-in-law, Peter H. Morroni and Gary K. Grimming Sr.; his grandson Gary K. Grimming Jr.; and also, Alberto, Partizio, Matteo Ciaburri of Maple Grove, PA, Hope Ackley, Luna of Boothwyn, PA, Julio J. Ynigues III, Mark Ackley Jr. of Dawsonville, GA, Erin Ackley of West Deptford, NJ, Stacy Bachman (Ackley) of Pennsville, NJ and Blake Tanyer (Ackley) of Pennsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
