He was predeceased by: his son Garret W. Northam; and his sibling Annerose Wood. He is survived by: his wife Irene S. Northam (Nee Jones); his children, Sherry Black (Ken) and Shawn Vazquez (Steve); his grandchildren, Kenny Black (Rachel), Lindsy Black, Kaleb Vazquez and Garret Northam Jr.; his great grandchildren, Karson Black and Alivia Black; his aunt Erika; his uncle Karli Hintz; and his pet Gunner.

In lieu of flowers. Donations in Gary's memory may be made to The Bridgeton First Church of the Nazerene.
