He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carlton Smith and Myra Kessler Smith; his wife Judith; his children, Jaime Ladd (Roger) and Brandon Henry (Jennifer); his brother Donn (Jackie); his grandchildren, Rivers, Wilder Dale, Remington Rose and Parker; and his nieces and nephews, Janine (Joe), Steven, Michelle, Connor, McKenzie, Jackson, Waylon, Abby, Autumn, Kate, Clarke and Lillie.

The family has suggested that donations can be sent to the Salem County Humane Society, PO Box 214, carneys Point NJ 08069 in Dale's memory.
