He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baran and Amelia Baran (Schmeer); and his brothers, Darius and Charles. He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Lee Shellock and Joseph; and his nieces and nephews, Stephen, LoraLee, Kimberly, Charlie, John, Brian, Amelia, Holly, Benjamin, Melissa, Louren, Leigh, Vincent, Patrick and Paul.
