It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles E. Wood of Woodland Park, New Jersey, born in Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Jennifer Lee Wood; and his parents, Edwin Wood and Evelyn Wood. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wood of Woodland Park; his son Christopher Wood of Westport, CT; his grandson Henry Charles Wood; and his sister Barbara George of Convent Station. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Usher 1F Collaborative (http://www.usher1f.org), 321 Walnut Street, Newtonville, MA 02460-1927 to help fund medical research to find an effective treatment to save or restore the vision of those with Usher Syndrome type 1F would be preferred and appreciated.
