He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judith Ann Hoogendoorn (Del Mastro); his children, Joris Emil (Vicky) of Mahwah, Emil (Kristen) of Winchester, MA, Stephen (Cathy) of Franklin Lakes and Gerard (Elizabeth) of Montvale, NJ.; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Dr. Joris Joseph, Lena, Natalie, Mary, Christopher, Emil Joris, Charles, Stephen Andrew and John; his siblings, Russell and Rodger Hoogendoorn; and his in-laws, Barbara, Robert Martin, Patrick DelMastro and Janice Cassidy. He was also cherished by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Wednesday, February 21st 2024 at the Maryrest Cemetery (770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430).
