He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Whalen Sr. and Mary McKeown; and his significant other Stella Knight. He is survived by: his siblings, Ray, Mary, Jack, Jim and Pat; his daughters, Lisa Orssaud and Sadie Whalen; and his grandchildren, Jules, Valentin, Shaun Orssaud, Jacob Whalen and Emma Sullivan.
After the pandemic he got to visit his daughter, Sadie and his grandson, Jacob, in Arizona, visiting the Grand Canyon together.
