It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis S. Wright of Woodbury, New Jersey, born in Camden, New Jersey, who passed away on May 24, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Llewlleyn Samuels and Elizabeth Cannon Samuels; her brother Robert Samuels; and her close friend Morell Moore. She is survived by: her daughter Ronda Wright of Brooklyn, NY; her nephew Cary Henry; her grandchildren, Chris Wright, William Slack, Jimmy Slack (Wadeedah) and Courtney Slack; her great grandchildren, Jimmy Jr. and Chris Jr.; her siblings, Carol Kidd (Jerry) of Gibbstown, George Samuels of Gibbstown, Lillian Cooper (Charlie) of Swedesboro, Marguerite Verlander (John) of Glassboro and Allison Samuels of Paulsboro; her stepmother Katherine Samuels; and her sister-in-law Cellie Samuels. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
