He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Dear and Lucille Dear of Albuquerque, NM; his wife Julie Ann Elkins of Columbus, MS.; his brothers, Douglas, John Arthur Dear Jr. of Carrollton, TX and Terrance Dear (Lea) of Castle Rock, CO.; his daughter Meredith Leigh Dear Riedel; his child-in-law Detlev Christian Riedel; his sons, Barry Wayne Dear (Denise Wilson Dear) of Woodbury and José Bento Ntenvo of Capetown; his great grandchildren, Hannah Meredith of Castle Rock, Evelynn Faith of Castle Rock and Neill Clayton of Castle Rock; his siblings-in-law, Lee Ellen Love Elkins of Hammond, LA, John Gregory Elkins of Woodbury, NJ and James Michael Elkins of Alexandria, LA; his niece Denise Lynn Dear Smith (Howard) of Scottsville, KY; his great-nephew Calvin; his great-niece Amber; his niece Rebecca Dear Landreth (Allen) of Bowling Green, KY; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jennifer Lutch (Justin), James Alexander, Annika Dear-Williams, Kerri Williams, Mary Katherine Dear and Elizabeth Elkins Bailey (Darrell); his nephew Tucker Elkins (Jessica); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Austin and Presley Anne; his nephew Gregory Elkins of Runnemede, NJ.; and also, George of New York, NY, Abigail of New York, NY, Conor and Cline of Madison, MS. He was also cherished by four grandchildren.
