She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Gunther and Teresa Gunther; her siblings, Laurence, Virginia, John and Robert (Jack); and her grandson Jack McKelvey (John).
She is survived by: her friends, Bridge, Bingo, Mahjong and Bochy; her children, John Dempsey (Lisette) of Jefferson, MA., Theresa Lynch (William) of Bradley Beach, NJ, Vincent Dempsey (Vicky) of Holiday, FL., Lorraine Dempsey of Harbeson, DE, Michael Dempsey of Neptune City, NJ, Rosemary Walsifer (David) of Belmar, NJ and Kathryn McKelvey (Raymond); her grandchildren, Stepanie Francolla of East Windsor, NJ, Kevin Lynch of Bradley Beach, NJ, Rachel Smith and Ocean Twp; and her pet Riley. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great children, many nieces and nephews.
