She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Verycken and Rose Verycken; her husband Philip Robert Bassin Sr.; her son Warren Bassin; and her siblings, Lorraine Green, Geraldine "Tootsie" Feeley, Edward Verycken and Richard Verycken.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Bassin (Elizabeth) of Carteret, Phillip R. Bassin Jr. (Geri) of Saddle Brook, Barbara Scott (John) of Woodbridge and Florence Danzi (Salvatoro); and her siblings, Kathleen Seijo of Rutherford, Vicky Telly of California, Joseph Verycken of Florida and Rosemarie Holmes of Maryland. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Ruby's memory.
