Joe Barbiera Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Barbiera of Wood Ridge, New Jersey, who passed away on April 22, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Vito Barbiera; his father-in-law Charles Cangialosi; and his godson Salvatore Scaravilli, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cathleen; his children, Joseph Barbiera (Giovanna) and Sabrina Barbiera; his mother Angela Busciglio; his brother Antonio Barbiera; his mother-in-law Carmela Cangialosi; and his siblings-in-law, Sarah Chizmadia (Mark) and Charles Cangialosi (Fran). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Aloia Funeral Home (180 Harrison Ave, Garfield, NJ 07026). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations in Joe's name to the Wood-Ridge PBA Local 313, 85 Humboldt Street, Wood-Ridge, NJ 07075.
