She is survived by: her grandchildren, Stephen Nashaun Pender, Jahrod Pender, Ayesha Turner, Ife El-Shabazz, Azaziah Yehanan, Qadeer El-Shabazz and Marcus Dawson; and her siblings, Virginia Pender of Mt. Holly, NC and Stephen Echols of Gastonia, NC. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends.
