She was predeceased by: her parents, Volney Cruise and Fannie Cruise; her siblings, Ruby, Elsie, Sidney and Frances; and also LeRoy W. Bird, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Michael Bird (Terri) and Christine Compton (Scott); her granddaughters, Emily Bird and Rachel Bird; her brother-in-law Frank Bird; her nieces, Margaret Counts and Sandy Wetzel; and her nephew Sidney Lowe, Jr. (Eleanor).
